Had a cut and color appointment with Julianne Alfieri. As always she did an exceptional job! I highly recommend her especially if you also want great advice on a color and style! She is awesome.
Usually never leave reviews but I had to! Only reason I’m giving 1 star is because the overall salon was nice. I asked my stylist for a trim to get rid of bad ends because I’m getting married in a couple weeks. She proceeded to give me the trim and continued to push her “wedding services” on me even though I told her I already had someone booked. She asked me when I last washed my hair and I told her day before - she took that as not needing to wash my hair in the salon. When she was done trimming she wanted to style it ( still trying to get me to book her for my wedding) and then after being in her chair for about 20 minutes told me she had extra time if I wanted her to practice an updo ... I was pretty upset and told her no. She then charged me the full hair cut price without washing my hair or giving me any sort of salon experience. Will not be going back. What a waste of money - disappointed. Don’t want to give her a bad rep but her name was Julianne - I would not recommend booking with her.
Julianne colored my hair exactly the way I wanted it done. I had wanted a dark brown but with some red in it. She got the color perfectly. And my hair always feel so soft and non frizzy after she does a blow out. She is very warm and friendly. And I felt very welcomed there.
Julianne is the BEST! I always ask for a foil with a lot of dimension and no one ever gets it right but Julianne!! Her cuts are fabulous, too!
First time coming to Beau Monde Salon, asked them if they could achieve a silver blonde hair on my dark brown hair and provided a picture. Kelsie overheard and came up wanting to see the picture stating she loves a challenge, that one of her clients cancelled the following day and it would work out great. She stated it might take two treatments and the cost would be close to $150, everything sounded great and she seemed confident. The following day I go in and wanted to immediately start coloring my hair with out cutting my hair (fine by me but more to work with for her), she quickly changed her mind and did a quick cut across my hair to remove the access. Moved on to applying color and attended go another client. The foils and color were placed on carelessly, mind you I'm a color "virgin" as she stated. After finished with her other client, she jumped back stating the color looked great, rinsed my hair with a bit of time and brought me back to dry my hair, cut it quickly, and started curling it immediately - all the while I was turned away from the mirror. I told her I didn't want my hair curled as I never make the effort to do so and wanted to my hair color. To no surprise, it was an orange color and it felt like she wanted to mask her work by creating curls. Told her I didn't want to be seen like that in public and she agreed saying that she could have me come back another day or month. She saw that I was unhappy and said she was willing to dye my hair again. Second time came out better although she didn't dye underneath my roots whatsoever, and some areas still looked sloppy on my roots with abrupt color changes, no blending. It did look better with the curls in that you couldn't quite see the drastic color changes (again she knew from the beginning that I prefer to straighten my hair or sometimes leave it wavy - never curly...), however throughout the process she seemed friendly but defiantly in a hurry when often saying she preferred this job because she can take her time (sure didn't seem so with have two clients at a time throughout my whole appointment). I defiantly thought she would charge me less because not only was she far from the picture I had shown her, taking longer than she told me, and still looking like a mess; she charged me the full $200 stating that we "did" do the second treatment and that I should come back in a month to get to the picture lol. All in all, she is nice but not a master stylist and definitely didn't keep her word or see anything wrong with her work.
