My family, fiance and I went to Olive Garden yesterday in the early evening to celebrate my sister's graduation from college. We had the absolute BEST experience at this location, and compliments need to be made for the service received.
I will not give this place a very good rating at all. I took my husband out for his Birthday dinner and from the time we entered the restaurant doors it started off bad. Greeter was in Bar playing on her phone then she saw us standing there after being there for 7 minutes. Then she says got to clean off a table first be a minute. We are the only ones waiting, 10 minutes later we are being seated. So then we sat there for about 8 more minutes till finally our server acknowledged us. He took our drink orders after throwing them on the table out of reach. Throwing soup down on table. Cold mashed potatoes hard and cold bread sticks. I have warned everyone I have crossed paths with today to avoid that location due to the rudeness of staff, manager included.
Always a little wait...so go to the bar area to get your house wine (a good selection) at half price while waiting. Food is always good....don't be afraid to try new things on the menu, you won't be disappointed. All you can eat salad is also a good and tasty feature that make you feel less guilty to indulge. The service is quite friendly and they are on time. The only thing missing is the kids eat free offer to encourage family with young kids to get out more. Otherwise fantastic experience altogether.
The waiter was so wonderful we had to flag down the manager to tell her that he did an amazing job. The food was perfect too!
The food might as well be from Noodles & Company... Not really impressed... But the servers lately have been great!
From start to finish, our experience was enhanced by the friendliness, humor and excellent table-side manner of our server Jake. We want to make sure he is recognized for going above and beyond for his customers. You don't find service like his in many establishments, and it is definitely worth going to the Burnsville Olive Garden to have him serve your table. Thanks for the experience and surprises!
When meals were ordered, we were extremely impressed with Jake's ability to take a 6-person order with two build-your-own pastas, a soup/salad combo and a gluten-sensitivity, all without writing a single order down. Our meals came out exactly as we had ordered them. This is a skill that many servers do not have, and is definitely something worth applauding.
My fiance and I arrived before the rest of my family, and we were told the wait was about 10-15 minutes. 3 minutes later we were already seated at our table and asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. We simply stated it was for my sister's graduation. Our server, Jake, almost immediately stopped over and asked if he could get us a complimentary sample of wine while we waited for the rest of our party. We eagerly said yes, and he expertly suggested a wine or two we might enjoy. While my family trickled in, Jake ensured that we were all provided with beverages within a few minutes of each family member's arrival. He was extremely professional, and was quick on his feet when jokes were made at the table in his presence.
While we finished our meals, Jake let us know that my sister would get a complimentary Dolcini dessert for her graduation, something we did not expect. Whether this is something Olive Garden does for celebrations of any kind, or something our server did for us, it was a very kind gesture, and was a nice treat for my sister's big celebration.
