Pet Supplies Plus is a nice alternative to the big chain stores! The staff are all really friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Prices are actually a little cheaper than bigger stores as well. They offer a customer loyalty program, where after so many bags of dog food, you get one free! That's a $45.00 savings right there! If you live nearby I would recommend stopping by and giving them a try!

I buy like 90% of my pet items here, the other 10% from online. This store is convenient as it's attached to Cub do you could do grocery shopping right after.
I purchased 3 mini rex rabbits for $40 a piece, which is expensive given the fact they never had vet care or not even pedigreed. I got a phone call from someone who knew I was looking for rabbits and told me I should come save them from this pet store. So I decided to make the 2 hour drive south to check them out. I was pretty disgusted with the conditions they were in which is why I decided to take them on and care for them. Every rabbits nails were extremely long and the employee had to ask me if I wanted their nails trimmed before taking them...umm duh? One of the male bucks we purchased had a snotty nose and the lady working tried saying oh they have snotty noses because they are living in a pet store. Ha! After taking him home, within a day we noticed his teeth were completely curled up towards the roof of his mouth, which is my guess the reasoning of his snotty nose issue along with snuffles? We are taking him to a vet an hour south from us tomorrow(we live up north in Hinckley). Then we have our female rabbit whose bottom, tail, and feet were covered in pee and the lady employee claimed that some rabbits just like sitting in their pee and as she was picking her up she said she has nasty butt :/ I think this pet store needs to stop breeding their own rabbits if they can't properly take care of them! No refunds and a whopping 3 day warranty to exchange for a new rabbit haha! They wouldn't even give us a deal for purchasing 3 of them. It's pretty sad when pet stores only care about the $$$ and not the proper care and attention these rabbits need... :(
