Becker Furniture world has good quality furniture at a good price; however, you need to avoid the Burnsville location. First, about 1.5 years ago, I purchased two power recliner chairs. I also purchased the Montage 5 year warranty. Last July, one of the chairs stopped working ... no power. I contacted Becker and they gave me the information to contact Montage. I had to take pictures, include receipts, and "prove" that the chair was no longer working. Montage sent a person to my house to confirm that the chair was no longer working. That person did nothing other than look at the chair and say, "yep, it's broken." I was then informed that they would send me the parts to fix the chair and that I had to do the repair myself. The parts never arrived. It's now December and the chair broke in July .... no fix, no replacement, no parts. Becker agreed to refund my money for the chair. My daughter and her husband shopped for dining room chairs using my store credit. When we went to check out, I had no store credit. They informed me that the chair had not been returned, so they would not issue the credit. Up until this moment in time, they never asked for the chair to be returned nor did they offer any means in which to pick up the chair. Finally, we scheduled the return (Keep in mind, it is now five months later), and the three deliver conformation messages I received had the wrong address. I clicked on the links in two of the messages (one was a phone call) to correct the address and I never heard anything back. I waited for the two hours that were scheduled for pick up and no one showed up. At the exact time that the delivery was to be completed by (the last possible minute), store manager, who had scheduled the pick up, Krista, called me to say, sorry, there was a mistake in the address! They rescheduled for the next day and the pick up went smoothly. However, I had to schedule my day around their convenience twice!

Finally, 8 weeks later, my media center was delivered, but it was damaged. I had to wait another 8 weeks for a different piece of furniture to be delivered.

The delivery people are awesome! They are always polite, considerate, and good at what they do. That is the only positive attribute of this particular location. Becker may be a good company, but the Burnsville location is simply awful and should be avoided, at all cost.

My husband and I had a great experience with Courtney last weekend. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We hope to buy from her when we are moved into our new house.

My husband and I happened upon the store during a couple of the sales. We were able to find exactly what we wanted, even items we didn't know we wanted, for our new home. Trudy was the most helpful in finding just the right look for our new sofa. Thanks to everyone, including the delivery guys. I would definitely recommend my friends to go here.

My boyfriend and I went into this store just to look at new mattresses/bed sets/bar stools. Just like any other furniture store, we had a different sales person asking us questions every few minutes. One in particular stood out after we told him we were just browsing, he responded "If you have any questions please let me know, even if you aren't looking to buy today, If it is two weeks or a month from now, it still matters to me." After walking away we both were in admiration because that is not at all the response you usually get, THAT seemed like the kind of person we would want to buy from. Though we did not buy anything, we would likely be back to buy in the future because of this employee.

Update: I had to call to see why my furniture want deleted yet. Abdi was very helpful and got my delivery set for three days from my call because all of the furniture was in except a table and we had asked previously for a split delivery. He said he would have Courtney call me. She still has not called even after I called again today. Will update again if I ever hear back. Also, the bed set was delivered today and apparently it requires a box spring. She specifically told us it did not require one. Now I'm left with a worthless bed until I buy a box spring.

Salesman Dan McConnell was knowledgeable and very helpful. I will recommend Dan to friends. Delivery was on time and efficient. The carnation from delivery team was a plus!

Next, I spent over 6k to furnish a new basement with a couch, ottoman, bookcases, and a media center. All of the items were not immediately available, so I was asked to wait over 6 weeks for all of my furniture, to which I said no .... deliver what is available now and I'll wait for the rest. The couch and bookcases were delivered first. No problems there, but after the purchase, I got a call from the sales person and was informed that she had accidentally charged me $200 less than the actual purchase price for the bookcase and she wanted me to bring in more money. The purchase process is computerized .... the sales people do not manually put in the actual prices, so I'm not sure how she put in the wrong price. They held up the ordering of my furniture until this was worked out. The delivery of those items was scheduled for the following Tuesday, but once again, no one showed up. The sales person claimed that I misunderstood the date, but we had a long conversation regarding my schedule and the need for the deliver people to show up by a specific time, so there was no misunderstanding on my part, only incompetence on their part.
